Engine entablatures, cylinder casings and columns are all part of our stockholding. We are also able to offer cylinder casings with re-bored liner rings inserted bringing the casing back to new tolerances.
Case Study
A company in Africa had been desperately searching for a replacement Mirrlees K Major cylinder casing. They had been to the engine manufacturer and various other companies but it seemed that none were available. After contacting A&D, a reconditioned cylinder casing was duly offered with a lead time of around two weeks; previously they had been given a possible twelve month delivery. The casing was cleaned, crack detected, inspected with a full report and dispatched to site saving the customer the downtime and possible scrappage of their generator.
